Foundations For College Readiness

get a head start during freshman and sophomore year

Our new Foundations for College Readiness program is perfect for freshman and sophomore students who want to get a head start, but are not quite ready to tackle our college-specific counseling programs.  The Foundations Program focuses entirely on college readiness skills and maximizing the high school experience.  Foundations students meet with their counselor twice per month for an hour (or 4x per month for 30 minutes) until they are ready to transition into a college admissions counseling program as a second-semester sophomore or first-semester junior.

The Foundations Program is 100% customizable to fit the needs of individual students. For example, we may focus on:
  • Building an “academic angle” and strengths-based student profile
  • Academic writing tutoring with our college essay team
  • Executive functioning skills: organization, juggling responsibilities, flexible thinking and problem solving
  • Academic, extracurricular and summer break planning

On top of that, all Foundations students will have access to 100% of our college resources from day one!

The greatest benefit of the Foundations Program is continuity and building relationships with our students and families over a longer period of time.  The goal is for students to have a much more collaborative and productive future college counseling experience.
